Duo Francesco Melara e
Maria Grazia Caffarelli
Maria Grazia Caffarelli
Francesco Melara e Maria Grace Caffrey followed the same trail with the same teachers.
For years they have studied the issues related to the technology, performance practice and interpretation of the repertoire, working in higher education courses. Both
teaches guitar at the Music School to address, dealing with education and achieve well, with honors, the last of the titles born by the reform: the Postgraduate Diploma level to address interpretation-composition.
The duo was born to a partnership of friendship developed and grew in the years of academic training and, above all, a common understanding of musical interpretation, a common vision of the role of music education and the social function of musician interpreter.
The duo aims to enhance the high art of the existing literature for two guitars and perform for the public with the understanding that partnership is the best in chamber music for guitar because the guitar does not double but it becomes something else. In
repertoire the duo are not only pages but also guitar transcriptions, the guitar with his emotional vein, evoking memories of a language, reads music and harmonies highlighting aspects that are in the "strings" of memories but that appear otherwise legible.
